Property Details:

This property is unique for its size and amount of lake frontage. Most properties this size have been subdivided into smaller parcels so it is rare for something like this to still exist. When you are there you cannot see any neighbors, only houses across the lake. From the main gate it is roughly 1/3 of a mile to the house. It is truly a legacy property and very secluded.

The property originally had several outbuildings and a very large main structure. That structure burned down in the eighties. At that time the property was owned by a business family from the Antigo area. Eventually plans were drawn up to replace the structures with a new main building to be used by the extended family, and for entertaining customers of the business and off-site meetings. There is seating for 20 people in the dining room, with more in the breakfast nook, it was meant to be a comfortable place for larger groups, but it also feels cozy for smaller more intimate get togethers.

Eventually the situation changed and the property was put up for sale in 2005. After the sale and over the years a great deal of money was invested in substantial upgrades to the mechanicals, and interior and exterior features without changing the classic Northwoods feel of the lodge. A constant comment by visitors to the “cabin” is that the pictures do not prepare them for the actual experience of being there. It seems the pictures can’t get the perspectives right.

The property consists of 3 separate tax keys. Two of which are enrolled in the Managed Forest Land program. This significantly reduces the tax on those parcels and makes holding them very affordable. Recently over 1500 white pine seedlings have been planted on the property. There is a foot bridge from the main property to the approximately 1 acre island. The bulk of the land is left in a natural state, however there are several miles of rough trails that can be hiked, or explored.

There is a sandy beach at the dock area and from there the sandy bottom continues out and around the island. In the summer boats will anchor around the island as it provides some of the best swimming on the lake.

For nature lovers, Eagles are common and the Loons usually provide their unique sound background. Deer and Turkeys wander through along with the occasional Bob Cat and sometimes Foxes and other critters as well.

For the right buyer there might exist some potential tax benefit at the sellers discretion, that would need to be explored.
